Rotten morning so far and it's gonna be a long day. Have to ride to Tulsa for mother 75th b-day party. Mind you she is also off her bi-polar meds again and I am praying we don't have an epasoid.
I woke and showered with dry heaves and nausea. Had 2 hop out of the shower to poo for the 3rd time and have gone another 3 since dressing. About and hour 1/2 time. Taking butt wipes and several changes of clothes though I plan on returning tonight. I can't have enough underwear.
Richards back is out so he is letting me use his truck, meaning I have to drive! Meaning I can't have a nausea/diarrhea or cramping pill. My gut is gurgling and I don't dare eat, just sip water and hope for the best.
Gotta look at the bright side. The butt severa stabbing pain is not there so except for the discomfort in my gut and bowls I should sit for the most part ok...I won't test the God's. I am packing my butt pillow!

Still frickin hurting. Ran to the bathroom 3 time since last post but nothing. It felt like an explosion is building up from under my boobs to the top of my pubs, gurgling pain...grrr!
Hurting today. Was ok when I got up but had a bit for lunch and pow mabe 10 minutes later I feel like the 19th hour of hard labor pains. Grrr! If I take a pill the rest of the afternooon will be fuzzy but if I don't it may not ease up for hours. Lets seee how it goes...

Rest in Peace Guido

Yesterday was touch and go. Or poop and go depending on how you look at it. Would have cancled the funneral if I could have but it wasn't about me so off I went. The curvy hills are hell driving with nausea but I couldn't take a pill. Didn't dare eat as I am in the slimey poop cycle of this hellash inconviencance . (Ha, inconviencance, what a fucking undestatment!) Anyway got to the church just as the service started, spotted the bathroom...only 1 but I can work with that. 20 minutes into it I was looking for the back door out. A lady in a wheelchair had the bathroom occupide and all I could do was hop in Richards truck and pray I make it to the gas station. I travel with back up panties and but wipes but I was dressed and didn't want to have to fully change my outfit...I made it!
Giving the service time to finish I stopped at a friends hardwear store useing her bathroom several times before I left for the after service gathering. Everyone was eating when I arrived and 1 dear lady brought me a plate...of stuff I couldn't eat. Lord I was hungry but I didn't was to have an accident if there was a line to the bathroom. I gave the plate to a teen sitting next to me and grabed some hard cheese and triscuts...the first few nibbles stayed quietly on the trip through my colan so I felt lucky. I manage to munch on 6 crackers and cheese sticks for the next 40 minutes then the rumbling started and I said my goodbyes. Stop 1/2 way home to run to Garrys bathroom (thank god he was home). Really, someone tell me, how the hell can I have a social life without becomeing the old lady thats always in the bathroom changing her britches!

Lite nausea this morning but I got some dishes done and egg salad made for a funeral tomorrow. Richard may have to go alone as the nausea hit hard a bit ago. Went most of the day not bad. Had to sit before making some meat balls. Lots of pain in my anise. At a few carrot stick this morning and was hungry after making the meat balls. Had 2 and regret it.Nausea bad. Going to take a pill and go to bed. It's only 9pm. Would rather be doing dishes!...and I hate doing dishes.

Here we go again

Started out soo good for the first 45 minutes this morning then a coughing fit (allergies) ends up bringing on nausea. Going to try to sit still foe a while to see if it passes. It's such a lovely day outside I'd like to at least get the laundry started. Richard carries it to the washer for me and brings it in the house when dry as sometimes just lifting can cause nausea to come on, odd huh! I don't lift much anyway especially days when poop is prevalent (ok, thats pretty much everyday). I've pick up Richards fat cat and messed my britches so anything heavier is out of the question.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to take a pill and ruin this sunny day with a foggy brain.

Well I would have been happy with sluggish. I hate wasting a day but I really would have been happy with sluggish. Nausea hit early evening after eating and screwed up what would have been a nice night chatting with Richard and watching TV. As it was I had to lay down to get comfortable and finally took a pill about 9pm. Fought the grogginess that always comes with phennagrin trying to be awake when Jay Leno came on..saw some of it but it's all a fog.
My stomach feels empty and hollow but I can't eat, don't want to screw up the day already. Just a cup or tow of hot tea with mint from the patch growing out front. It's a sunny day, lets see if we can get some stuff done now.

Hurtin but hangin in there. I hate to keep writing about the same old thing but sometimes thats just the way it feels.
Today started out ok. Sluggish from yesterdays nausea but happy the only pain was after eating and I was able to lay down being at home. Didn't get much done in the way of house keeping. Thought today was gonna be ok, started out with very lite nausea, still isn't much, not enough to take a pill, ate a bit for lunch and got bloated, hurting.
Glad to be home. Last week was in Tulsa and out of my phennergrn nausea meds, not a good trip! Richard got my script refilled and had it waiting for me. Guess the sluggish could be from all that.
I don't get tierd of fighting this, per-say, it's the fight that gets the house clean or creates a good day out of the fog of nausea, pain or direhhia, I just get worn out here and there. Down days, lost time. THats what the worst part of all is, lost time.
Don't feel like typing this, petting the cat, doing the dishes or laundry...it's all too HEAVY to do.
I'd rather be haveing a day where I hurt like a sonofabitch but I can plow through it and get whatever project at the time compleated. Days like today are slug days, feel like druged days. Lost days. Good for nothing days, just getting to the next good day to come day.

I cursed myself

Grand!Just grand! The day I posted last I went to bed with such pain I couldn't get up and walk to the livingroom to my purse for my med's. Labor in it's 18th hour was a cake walk compaired to that pain. Nausea all day saturday to the point it could barley talk and again last night with the pain. I had to double up on the pain meds just so I could fall asleep and try to snoze through it all. So far today no pain but the nausea is learking behinda very thin vail waiting to hit hard.
Folding cloths and trying to keep my mind off it all.
Serenity now!
Serenity now!

Another Sunday on the hill

Not a bad few days overall. Woke up with a bit nausea this morning. It comes and goes but not enough to take a pill. Some bouts of pain here and there but again, not enough to warrant taking anything. Will try to get caught up on some house work.

up to date and back home

4/7/09
Not a bad day altogether. Yesterday I could have been the spokes person for the national nausea association but today even after eating has been well. Now to get caught up a bit as to why I have been so long in writing/posting.
The day of my last posting I received a 911 call from the girls in Oklahoma. They were over whelmed with trying to merge dogs, rebuild a house and deal with a live in worker left to them by their late mother Carolyn.(My good friend) The whole time I was there I was nauseated. For 2 days I just had to stay in bed for the pain but they still make me feel like I help when I am there. We talk a lot. I think they miss the ‘Mom opinion’ in lifes daily yada. I drove home for my birthday. So nauseated and in pain, not taking my meds because of the 3 hour drive. Now, what do I pull up to when I get home? Dear Richard coming out the door, smiling sweetly welcoming me home…followed by 6 puppies. While working he’d found 6 abandoned puppies, 1 with a hole in his eye and of course came to their rescue by bringing them home, via the vet. Mind you he couldn’t pay the mortgage but the puppies must be saved and he said go for it when the vet explained the wounded ones eye must be removed resulting in a bill over $400.
Several time I thought of updating but picking up puppies poop with the nausea I’ve had (been to cold to have them outside all night) limited ALL my activities. Richard set up for a roadside sale and I took all 6 in a box in hopes of finding homes. Heaven be praised it worked. Even Popeye the 1 eyed wonder has a new home although we would have happily kept him. All were paper trained before they left and I still love the smell of puppy breath…you can keep the poop. So I was going back to help the girls on Sunday when I received a call Saturday afternoon that a friend had been in a car accident. As it has happened I finished packing my bags and came 12 miles west to camp out with Paul’s son James. (Very bright 15 year old) So, Paul as it turned out ran over himself with his car. He’d arrived home after running the many errands for his honeymoon cabin rental business. Hoping put of the car he was happily hurrying to let Carla his black Shepard out of her pen when he realized it was slowly rolling backwards. About the time he realized that though his last girlfriend called him superman the hand he had on the hatch back was NOT going to stop the now moving faster car! Losing his footing on the gravel he sat on his butt and serially watched the car roll over his legs. Thank god he had his cell phone and called for help. They air flighted him out to a hospital about an hour and half away. If the fractures and internal bleeding in his legs weren’t bad enough for the average Joe, Paul had deep vain phlambrosie. Just bumping his legs or getting a bruise can cause a blood cot that can threaten his life. With the medicine he was taking (blood thinners) they’ve had to wait to do surgery and rebuild hit foot. We are relieved the internal bleeding in the other leg had decreased and the swelling is finally going down. So, instead of being in Oklahoma away from home I am here, away from home

4/8/09
6:30 am

Hard to fall asleep last night. The lower part of my abdomen felt like it was full of bubbles. Not in a gassy way like the rumbling I often get after eating. More like cement filled balloons making my body feel hard and uncomfortable. Tramadol didn’t help nor a night time pm pill. I tossed and turned most of the night dropping off about 2 something. Up early getting James ready and down the road to the buss stop for school. Hope this balloon feeling goes away before we leave for the hospital and Paul’s surgery.

7:50 am
Not bad so far after toast and tea. Don’t hurt enough to need a pill. Doing laundry and light cleaning. The furniture will need rearranging before Paul returns home. We’ll need more wheelchair space and a comfortable place for him to sit with his feet up.
9:45 am
Starting to cramp and feel the diherria moving its way around. Haven’t had to run to the bathroom the last few days and I hope that doesn’t change on the way to, or at the hospital this afternoon. I wouldn’t have chanced the toast earlier but I had to eat something or my stomach would have sued for abandonment.

4/9/09
1:30 pm
Bad panty day.
Didn’t feel like dinner last night. A lovey chicken and veggie skillet meal James made for his girlefirnd and I. I don’t remember the 15 year old boys being such romantics! He bought her a card for no reason and put it buy her plate too! What a sweetie. I had a cup of yogart about 9:30 pm and was sleeping by 10.
Drove to the bus stop and had to change panties in the gas station bathroom. Mind you all I had was a sip of tea this morning. Nausea set in about an hour after I arose and knowing I had to pick up a friend at the airport (an hour ½ from here) so I knew not to eat. Still, again in the airport I didn’t make it and had to trash a pair of panties. One more time having to rush trying to unlock the door and I didn’t make it. 3 steps into the house I felt my bowls win the battle and blow a brown slimey volcano into my jeans.( I was out of panties by then). Doing laundry now trying to get my energy up to clean the kitchen. I am chilly too. Mant to mention that. When I have the diarrhea I get cold/chilled easy. Not a problem in the summer time but really rotten in the winter.

4/10/09
6:45 am
Woke up running to the bathroom with slimy diarrhea and dry heaves. Great way to start what looks to be a very busy day. Paul is being sent home from the hosipital today. His house is not really wheelchair accessible and the big risk to him is infection. If any infection sets in they will have to removed the leg below the knee. I really don’t know how we are going to manage. Paul is a big man, helping him in/out of bed or going to the bathroom will be impossible for me. James has school and I have no idea who can help during the day.

4/12/09
Monday 6:38 am
Woke up through out the night with a stabbing pain in my butt. Not as hard a pain as it could have been but enough to wake me up several times disturbing my sleep.
Had a bit of pn off and on yesterday. Overall not bad and thank the heavens no bad diarrhea. Paul is doing ok in his recovery. No wheelchair, as a matter of fact, a walker! He can’t put weight on the broken foot but his left leg, still very badley bruised all over was thankfully not broken.. Suffering from sever pain in the right broken leg yet doing very well considering.. He had a restless morning about 4 am with cold sweats. I was happy to see him sleep on the couc for an hour or so after moving him to the livingroom.
Tom, Richards brother (my brother in common law) will be released from the hosipital this evening where he was sent with severe back and stomach pain. Seems he has a fracture from a beating he took about 10 years ago by his wifes boyfriend. Sounds like a soap opera you say? That’s my life!
10:10 am
Had a bite of bagel and juice 20 minutes ago. Good day so far, no pain or poop!
2:20pm
Not a bad day for me so far but Paul is a bit restless still. He’s taking a nap now and Richard stopped buy and buit a fire in the fireplace to help warm Paul up. We know the blood thinner makes him chill easily but he can’t get warm today. I on the other hand have on a short sleved shirt and rolles up my pants long shedding my shoes sand socks. The fireplace is in a back room, where I am sleeping as a matter of fact, and quite toasty to say the least. I’ve fans blowing everywhere forcing the hot air into the front of the house hopeing to warm Paul up a bit. Almost time to run to the bus stop for James…more later.
9:30 pm
About an hour ago I started having pain in my ars hole again. Pain to the point that I had to set the pot of rice down quickly and run to lay down A.S.A.P. It didn’t stop until just a bit ago, 40 minutes after taking a 10mg flexeril. It’s at least down to a dull pain now but geeze that hurts!!
Hope it lets me sleep with out more medicine.

4-13-09
9:30 pm
Get to stay in a cabin tonight because Pauls Uncle Bill has come for a visit. Just watched a movie and feeling like the but achs are gonna start soon. Going to lay down and try to get a good night sleep.

Nausea, but not to the point of needing a pill

March 19, 2009, 10:11 AM
Over slept this morning, had a very hard time going to sleep last night. It happens, a string of nights where you send your mind into all those dream places you’ve made up, trying to start your on dream thus, falling asleep. Deep sleep. The not waking up every 20 minutes because you feel the red light of the alarm clock boring a hole in your head despite the pillow over it, and even though you try not to look into the monsters face…you wait for what is surely and hours before peeking from under the pillow to find the monsters red LD laughing at you, beaming it’s success it shows all, You looked, and it had only been 18 minutes from the last time! Grrrr!
Didn’t expect Dr. Flake to send me over to the hospital for more blood test yesterday but after our visit he did. The next test will be swallowing a camera pill and follow it’s trek through my system.
He is also contacting some gastro specialist friend of his for consultation and wants to discuss my case with his brother who is a pediatrician specialist in gastro system problems. They may want to start a case study on adults with Crohn’s,/IBS/Colitis who in childhood had gastro problems as well.
I love, love, love Dr. Flake. Doctor William Flake of Berryville Arkansas is a gift to all he touches. A surgeon who talks real talk to you. Not over your head though God knows when you look in this mans eye you see knowledge. Knowledge from the hunger of learning and research. I believe he’s in his late 60’s early 70’s and is from a family of physicians. Including his mother and brother. More than a just a good ole boy, country/farmer doctor. You can see the passion in his eyes. He will get to the bottom of what ales you or find someone who can. If I mention his name to others in his profession, they nod and smile. ‘Good man!’ they always say. He understands the pain and nausea and chronic or not, incurable or not, he want to find what will make it easier to live with. As if this were HIS problem. I am blessed to have him.
I loved when he was explaining the procedure of removing my gal bladder. He grinned and giggles telling the story how in med school, they’d practice this surgery on pigs! Easier to get than cadavers and the pigs gal bladder is very similar to ours! Who knew!!
The pork could not be sold for food after that even though it was just fine for eating, so, they did! The interns didn’t starve thanks to the pork chops!!

Not a bad morning so far. A lite wave of nausea earlier but not enough to take anything for it. The doctor (Nurse Practitioner actually) refilled my Tramadol/pain and Promethazine/nausea. Night before last was horrible but last night wasn’t too bad. I am hoping I am on the down side of this nausea episode. Not quite 2 week this time. I am grateful for the end of it.
I have an appointment with the surgeon this afternoon. I think he’ll suggest swallowing a camera pill this time. This seems to be baffling everyone. Only one doctor has said ‘Sounds to me like Crohn's to me!’ but he didn’t write it down in the report! Always people, and I mean ALWAYS get a copy of your medical records after EACH visit! They may have to mail it to you and some even charge per page but you need this. Read it and make sure the are hearing what your saying to them. The way they word your chart makes a difference in how you are treated. TRUST ME!

Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Doctors appointment today and tomorrow. Hope somebody can do something soon. Not as nauseated when I take the Phennegren but if I don’t keep it up the nausea comes back. The longest it’s lasted in consecutive days is 2 weeks. It’s been a week and 2 days I think now. I am out of the pills gifted to me and sure enough it’s back.
Yesterday I took Jason (elderly fellow I help out in return for gas in the truck) to run errands. He bought breakfast and I thought I was gonna be ok with tea and toast but had to run to the bathroom for what I thought was gonna be a volcanic blast out my a**. Turned out to be a fizzle of a dribble with rumbling and pain. Next stop the bank ½ mile away. Pain and rumbling like you would not believe. Across the street to the grocery store and twice I ran to the ladies room, full on explosions both times. Boy that wears a body out! Last week when I had to drink the pasty stuff for the ‘dye’ test they said ‘drink lots of water because this can set up like cement in your colon’, HA! I drink lots of tea and water anyway so no problem there and the constipation is like a vacation compared to the surprise explosions that keep me on the run.

Flocks of love to ya!
